CASE STUDY · LANDING PAGE· UX/UI DESIGN · 2026

Designed Sola’s advertorial and product detail pages — a before/after comparison table, a 3-step “how it works” flow, and tiered pricing — to turn a wearable heat-therapy device into a believable alternative to pills and plug-in heating pads.

Heat therapy that moves with you, not the other way around.

— OVERVIEW

I was designing the DTC landing experience for Sola, a cordless wearable heat-therapy device for period pain. The challenge: heat therapy is already a trusted, drug-free remedy, so the page didn’t need to convince anyone heat works — it needed to convince them this specific device solves the real complaint about every heat remedy that came before it (stuck on a couch, tethered to an outlet).

Heat works. Heating pads just never leave the couch.

Making the difference clear at a glance.

Led with a personal narrative structure (the advertorial) rather than a spec sheet, reframing the product category from “pain relief” to “pain relief that moves with you” — the actual differentiator versus a heating pad or pills.

Built a direct comparison table (Sola vs. heating pad vs. pain meds) across 5 criteria, so the advantage is scannable rather than argued in prose.

Designed the PDP for mobile and desktop as separate layouts rather than one responsive squeeze — mobile leads tighter with the hero claim and trust bar, desktop has room to put the comparison table beside the social proof.

— DESIGN OJTCOME

Three pages, one clear message: relief that moves with you.

3 page types shipped (advertorial, mobile PDP, desktop PDP), 1 comparison framework reused across both. If you have any real metrics — conversion, time-on-page, anything — lead with those here instead of scope numbers.
